Youth Advocacy

At HAWA, we recognize the diverse needs of our youth. HAWA believes in investing in Southeast Asian young women and girls to inspire continued self-love and work towards their individual and collective liberation. Our young people are our leaders and inspire us to co-create a world free from violence. Our youth advocacy services provide:

  • Build leadership skills;
  • Practice healing and self-love;
  • Build healthy relationships with ourselves and others; and
  • Advocacy: 1-1 support

The Hmong American Women’s Association is a grassroots, culturally-specific, community-based, social justice organization serving the Southeast Asian (primarily individuals who identify as women/youth/girls and LGBTQ) community in Milwaukee County. We focus on supporting survivors of intimate-partner and family violence through advocacy, education, and awareness.
