“The environment at HAWA was wonderful! Absolutely welcoming and great people to work with. I enjoyed being part of the process of building equipment and organizing the donated clothes. I also appreciated how wonderful the staff were there! Very friendly and welcoming. The best part was knowing that the work that was done that day was devoted to something that will be used to help better the community.”

INTERNSHIP

If you are interested in becoming an intern, please fill out the forms below and email them to staff@hawamke.org or return them to HAWA Office during working hours.

“One major accomplishment as an intern was working in youth programming. Through this, I was able to lead the Nkauj Hmoob girls in discussions about self-image, sexual assault/violence, and healthy living. Through facilitation, I was able to refine leadership skills, challenge myself in taking initiative, and to not be afraid to voice opinions and questions. It was a humbling experience getting to know and grow closer with the Nkauj Hmoob girls.”
