Queer Roots Space (QRS)

Queer Roots Space (QRS) is a support and confidential space that occurs on the last Friday of every month from 5:00PM-7:30PM locally in Milwaukee, WI at the HAWA Office Building. QRS is a support space specific for Hmong LGBTQ+ community members to gather, connect, and share stories to build healthy siblinghood. In this space, you can expect fun and interactive activities that allow Hmong LGBTQ+ community members to story share and bond in gender affirming and loving ways. This space is facilitated by our Queer Justice Team. Food and refreshments are provided.

For any questions regarding Queer Roots Space, please email HAWA’s Queer Justice Programs Associate, Nellie Thao at nellie@hawamke.org.

For questions regarding HAWA’s overall Queer Justice Work, please email HAWA’s Queer Justice Director Zong Yang at zong@hawamke.org.
