ADVOCACY

Hmong American Women’s Association envisions a world where all of our Southeast Asian Families in Milwaukee can live in a community that is free from gender based violence. We are proud to be a Hmong, Southeast Asian Women & LGBTQ led grassroots organization. We believe that we must prioritize ourselves to also fight for Hmong & Southeast Asian LGBTQ gender justice.

  • We have Hmong LGBTQ Identifying Advocates to support victims and survivors to navigate services in both Hmong and English;
  • Support services for LGBTQ domestic violence and sexual assault victims and survivors;
  • Coming out and gender identity support and navigation within the culture;
  • Skill building; and
  • LGBTQ Youth Support: Case management support for runaway/homeless LGBTQ Youth who are facing violence and or family rejection.

Confidentially and safety is our number one priority. If you or someone you know would like more information, do not hesitate to contact your advocate:
