HAWA’s $100,000 Community Campaign for Southeast Asian Survivors
For decades, HAWA has stood as a trusted, culturally specific resource for Hmong women, children, and families navigating domestic violence, sexual violence, housing instability, and systemic barriers to safety and healing. Rooted in community and guided by advocacy, HAWA provides survivors with more than services—we offer culturally responsive support, connection, dignity, and pathways toward long-term stability.
Today, the need is greater than ever.
Across our community, survivors continue to face complex challenges including unsafe living situations, limited access to culturally and linguistically appropriate advocacy, financial insecurity, and barriers to navigating legal, housing, and social service systems. Too often, survivors are forced to choose between safety and survival.
HAWA exists to ensure they do not have to make that choice.
Why We Are Raising $100,000
Through this campaign, HAWA seeks to raise $100,000 over the next 100 days to strengthen and expand critical services for Hmong survivors and families across our community. Funds raised through this campaign will strengthen HAWA’s overall capacity to provide culturally specific survivor services, respond to urgent community needs, and sustain the organizational infrastructure necessary to deliver this work effectively.
These funds will help support:
