SEXUAL ASSAULT PROGRAM

Our Sexual Assault Program prioritizes survivor safety and choice, while maintaining a culture of support. Our advocates are here to help support survivors. Whether you are a survivor or a supporter and no matter where you are in your journey, we want you to know that we are here for you and that YOU ARE NOT ALONE.

Sexual Assault Support and Advocacy Services:

    • Safety planning;
    • Crisis intervention;
    • Referrals to community resources;
    • Legal/medical/social services support advocacy;
    • Home-visiting follow-ups; and
    • Sisterhood building and healing sessions for Hmong women survivors through our Ntuj Tshiab Circle

LIGHT & LOVE CAMPAIGN​

Light and Love provides advocacy, outreach, and healing for young adult Southeast Asian sexual assault survivors, primarily Hmong, Rohingya, Karen, Burmese, and Chin communities in Milwaukee County. Project Light & Love focuses on cultural and traditional healing as way to restore hope, and reclaim self-love for survivors. In addition to healing, advocacy and support groups are safe spaces for survivors to utilize as they continue on their healing journey. It is our hope that through this project, survivors will be reconnected with a sense of community and support, and be able to fulfill what justice and healing means for them.

 NTUJ TSHIAB CIRCLE

Are you a victim, survivor, know someone who is a victim or survivor or just want to make a difference in your community? 

If yes, come out and join other Hmong women who want to make a change in their community and are ready to make a difference!

Ntuj Tshiab Circle meets the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month from 5pm – 7pm at the HAWA office February through July.
