Hmong American Women’s Association is STILL accepting submissions for our new LETTERS FROM THE SEA newsletter.

WHAT IS LETTERS FROM THE SEA?
Letters from the SEA is a monthly newsletter that consists of collective letters & photos from Southeast Asian folk; that tell a story of self- or community-healing; having gone through the journey of being Southeast Asian descent, an immigrant, survivor, and/or refugee.

The newsletter also includes a Youth Spotlight section, featuring a Southeast Asian youth and a section dedicated to visual artworks by Southeast Asian Youth (ages 13-23).

HOW CAN I SUBMIT?
Submissions can be made anonymously in preferred language (i.e. Hmong, Karen, Thai, Lao, Rohingya, Burmese, Malay, etc.). Letters can be scanned and submitted as a digital file or mailed in. Photos can also be submitted in digital high resolution file, 300 dpi, and maximum dimensions of 700 pixels x 700 pixels.

We encourage anyone who identifies as Southeast Asian to submit. So please share and encourage any family or friends you know, who would like to share their stories.
